Studenten Net Twente provides an instance of the Jitsi Meet video conferencing software, free to use for anyone, hosted at the University of Twente.
Currently, we offer two ‘flavours’:
- meet.snt.utwente.nl
- This flavour is the default for a Jitsi Meet install, and is intended for regular meetings.
- classroom.snt.utwente.nl
- This flavour turns video and sound off by default for everyone but the host of the meeting. This is intended for “virtual classroom” settings.
In both settings, the host has three moderation options:
- Everyone starts muted
- Everyone starts hidden
- Everyone follows me
These options can be found in the “More” tab of the settings, which themselves can be found through the menu at the right of the bottom bar.
